Privacy Policy

We only store what is needed for the app to work between the two of you. LoveHint does not ask for your ID number, your phone number, your surnames or your card details to use the app:

• Sign-up data: the date of birth you declare when accepting the Terms (to check that you are of legal age) and the record of that acceptance and of the consents you give (which one, its date and its version).
• Profile data: name or nickname, photo (if you upload one), birthday, favorite color and food, and the answers you fill in under "Get to know yourself".
• Email address, only if you link your account with Google or Apple to back up your data. With "Sign in with Apple" you can hide your real email: Apple gives us a relay address.
• Link activity: daily mood, signals you send, plans, special dates, coupons, achievements, streak and the "relationship pulse" score.
• Diary: what you write in the diary is private and only the person who writes it can see it; your partner only sees the emotion you record each day. Diary photos and decorations are stored with each page.
• Location: the city you choose from a list if you turn on Long-distance mode and, only if one of you taps "Share my location", the phone's precise location (GPS) for the time chosen (1 hour, 8 hours or until turned off). While it is shared, Android shows a persistent notification and the iPhone shows the location indicator at the top. Only your partner sees it; we only keep the latest position, never the route, and it is deleted when sharing stops.
• Content you create: photos of plans and memories, time capsules, wish list, doodles, signal messages and notes.
• Photos, camera and gallery: the app asks for permission to use the camera or the gallery only when you choose to upload a photo, and stores only the photo you choose; it does not access the rest of your gallery. Photos are stored for the sole technical purpose of making the app work: showing them only to the two of you (and, for the profile photo, to your partner). They are not sold, not used for advertising and not shown to other users.
• Games, coins and farm: your coin balance, what you buy with them inside the app and your progress in the games and on the farm.
• Purchases: if you buy Premium, the purchase identifier provided by the store (Google Play or the App Store), the plan and its validity. We never receive your card details, nor do we ask for them as part of your personal data.
• Complaints Book: only if you file a claim or complaint, the data the law requires on the complaint form and that you write in it (name, ID document, address, email and phone), together with the details of the claim and our answer.
• Notification token of the device, so we can let you know when your partner writes to you.
• Identifiers and technical data: an anonymous account identifier, the device's advertising identifier (for ads), app error logs (which do not include the content of your messages) and the result of the check that you are using the original app (see section 10).
• App usage: which screens are opened, how long each section is used and actions such as playing or building on the farm, together with general data (whether you have Premium, whether you are linked, the farm level). These are counts to know which parts of the app are used and improve them; they never include your messages, photos, notes or names.

We use your data exclusively for the purposes of the platform:

• So the app fulfills its purpose: connecting your link, showing you the content you create together (dates, plans, memories), calculating statistics such as the streak or the relationship pulse, and sending you notifications relevant to both of you.
• To protect the service: detecting fraud, abuse or access that does not come from the original app, and applying usage limits.
• To improve the app: with usage data (Google Analytics for Firebase) we measure which sections are used, and with error logs (Firebase Crashlytics) we fix bugs.
• To show ads in the free version: the app shows Google AdMob ads (banners, ads within lists, optional videos watched in exchange for coins or other benefits, and full-screen ads that are announced beforehand). Ads are only personalized according to your interests if you accept it beforehand (see section 3); otherwise AdMob shows non-personalized ads. The advertising identifier can be reset or disabled in the phone's settings; on iPhone, the app first asks whether you allow tracking (App Tracking Transparency). We do not use the content of your relationship for advertising or analyze it for purposes unrelated to the couple. With Premium no ads are shown.
• To provide support and handle claims: we only access an account's data to handle a report, a claim or complaint from the Complaints Book, a request from the person themselves (for example, recovering their session) or a legal obligation.

When signing up you give us your prior, free, express and informed consent to process your data according to this policy, in accordance with Peru's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 29733) and its Regulations (Supreme Decree No. 016-2024-JUS). In addition, the app asks you separately for:

• Express consent for sensitive data: your daily mood and your diary may reveal information about your emotional health, and precise location reveals where you are. That is why, when you sign up, the app asks you to tick a separate box (not pre-ticked), with the full details one tap away ("See details"). If you didn't tick it, the app asks you before storing your mood, your diary or your location for the first time.
• Prior consent for personalized ads: when you sign up, the app offers another separate box, optional and not pre-ticked (on iPhone, the system itself asks). If you don't tick it, ads are still shown, but not personalized. You can change it anytime in Settings.

You can revoke any of these consents at any time: personalized ads from Settings, location by stopping sharing, and the rest by deleting your account or writing to us (see section 7). Revocation does not affect processing carried out before it.

Your couple information is only seen by the person you are linked with — never by another user of the app. Everyone involved in LoveHint keeps that information confidential. For the app to work, we rely on external providers that process data on our behalf:

• Firebase / Google Cloud: authentication, database, photo storage, sending notifications and emailing copies of Complaints Book forms.
• Firebase App Check, Google Play Integrity and Apple App Attest: check that requests come from the original app.
• Firebase Crashlytics: receives app crash reports so we can fix them.
• Google Analytics for Firebase: receives app usage data (screens and actions, no content) together with the installation identifier, to measure what is used.
• Google AdMob: shows the ads and receives the device's advertising identifier.
• Google Play and the App Store (Apple): process the payment of the Premium subscription. We only receive the purchase confirmation, never your card details.
• Apple: if you choose to back up your account with "Sign in with Apple", Apple confirms your identity; when the account is deleted we also revoke that access.
• Competent authorities: only when required by law or upon a formal order or request, as described in the Terms and Conditions.

We do not sell or rent information to third parties under any circumstances.

Business transfer: if LoveHint is acquired by another company, or if we transfer our business, your data may be transferred to the new controller so that the service keeps working. We will notify you in advance within the app, before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy or to that of the new company, so that you can make your decision, including deleting your account.

All information lives on Firebase (Google Cloud) infrastructure, on servers located in the United States, with that platform's security controls. This involves a cross-border flow of personal data: an international transfer of your data to Google as a provider (data processor), which only processes it to provide its services to us. Google is bound by its data processing terms to protect the information with the same obligations and conditions we assume in this policy, and the processing of your personal data remains governed by the law of Peru, the country from which the data is exported (Law No. 29733 and its Regulations).

• While the account is active. You can delete your account and all your data whenever you want from the app (Profile → Settings → "Delete my account"); deletion is immediate and includes what you shared with your partner (also diary photos, the farm, games and doodles).
• If you end the link without deleting the account, what you shared with that person is deleted.
• Live location: only the latest position, which is deleted when sharing stops.
• Technical logs (crashes and app usage) are kept for the periods set by each provider and do not contain the content of your messages, photos or notes.
• Complaints Book forms, reports, the record of consents and the information needed to comply with a legal obligation are kept for as long as the law requires, even if the account is deleted.
• If you pay for Premium, the subscription is cancelled separately, in the store: deleting the account does not cancel it.

You can exercise at any time your rights of access, updating, rectification, inclusion, objection and cancellation (erasure), and revoke your consent: directly from the app (for example, by editing your profile or deleting your account) or by writing to lovehint.app@gmail.com, including a request to permanently delete all your photos from our servers. We will answer within the periods set by law. If you consider that we did not address your request, you can file a complaint with Peru's National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data.

From Settings → Security you can report inappropriate content or behavior by your partner (we review it manually) and end your link without deleting your account — when you do, that person is blocked and cannot invite you again. Reports cannot be read or edited from the app; they are only stored for our review.

LoveHint is intended exclusively for people over 18 years of age. When signing up, each person declares their date of birth under their own responsibility; the app checks that they declare being of legal age before letting them continue, but there is no technical way to verify that date biometrically or in person. If we detect or are told about an account belonging to a minor, we delete it immediately.

Access to each link's data is restricted, by server rules, to the two people in it. Information travels encrypted between the phone and the server, and the server only responds to the original app (Firebase App Check with Google Play Integrity or Apple App Attest): from that check we only receive the result, not personal data from the phone. Only photos taken with the camera or chosen from the device's own gallery are accepted — the app does not accept images or files from external links. Even so, no system is 100% infallible — we ask you to protect access to your own device and account.

If this policy changes in a relevant way, we will let you know within the app before it continues to apply. If the change involves using your data for a different purpose, we will ask for your new consent first.
